Curtis Lumber Delivery Services

We Save You Time and Money

Curtis Lumber has many years of experience in servicing contractors, home builders and homeowners in selecting and handling materials you need to get your job done right. We take the time to pick your order and utilize our delivery vehicles so you don't have to take time away from your busy day by making multiple trips to the store and spending extra time picking out your materials.

Safety

Curtis Lumber is the only building material retail business in the nation to be recognized for our achievements with safety programs and a great record safety. Our drivers undergo rigorous training on the safe and proper operations of their vehicles. They are trained to identify delivery site conditions that may pose a potential safety risk to themselves, their delivery vehicle, our customer and our customer's property. Our drivers will opt not to use your driveway or lawn if they know damage will result.

What days can I get a delivery in my area?

Unlike other suppliers, Curtis Lumber does not have set weekly routes making you wait until we are in your neighborhood to bring you a delivery. We deliver all day, Monday through Friday to most areas within a 50 mile radius of our locations and offer partial-day delivery service on Saturdays. So, arranging a delivery to your house is as easy as just giving us a call.

Can I get next day delivery?

YES. If you live within a 20 mile radius of the store AND you give us at least 24hrs notice. "Next Day" requests should be called into the store by 2:00 p.m. the day prior. Requests for Monday deliveries must be called in by the previous Friday by 2:00 p.m.

What time will my Curtis Lumber delivery arrive?

We deliver during normal business hours, Monday-Friday and until mid-afternoon on Saturdays. Unfortunately, due to the nature of deliveries, we can not specify delivery times. Factors such as weather, traffic, delays etc. are unpredictable and can cause all loads to be delayed.

Please Note:

In order to keep the cost of our delivery service low to consumers, we stage our trucks with multiple loads to a given area. In some cases, we may be able to deliver to you in the morning and at other times it might not be until later afternoon. You can however, request that our Dispatcher call you when your delivery leaves our yard to give you an approximate arrival time.

What's included in the delivery service?

We offer a tailgate delivery service. This means the Curtis Lumber Driver will try to position our vehicles at the easiest point to off-load the materials to you. While the Curtis Lumber Driver will assist in unloading the materials, we do request that you also make arrangements for someone to assist in the unloading of your materials.

Will the driver place the materials where I want them?

Our drivers will attempt to place their vehicles as close as possible to the unloading point. However, jobsite conditions may occasionally impede the placement of our delivery truck on your property. Items that would be damaged by inclement weather will be covered or put into garage areas. For safety reasons, we will not carry goods up or down stairs nor place materials throughout a house.

Will you set shingles on my roof or trusses on my building?

Unfortunately NO. Due to insurance reasons we cannot place items on building structures (roofs, or second floors). We do have some specialty equipment that may help meet your needs - please talk to your salesperson for further details.

What if there is a problem with the quantity or quality of materials delivered?

Any claims of delivery discrepancies must be made within 72 hours of receiving your delivery. Please contact your salesperson immediately if you discover a problem! *Discrepancies reported weeks after an initial delivery will not be honored.

Can I get my leftover materials picked up?

YES. Normal delivery fees will apply for materials being picked-up and restocked. Any left over materials you have should be protected from the weather to prevent damage. All pickup materials will be subject to inspection by the driver and the final inspection by our Material Checker. *Anything returned in non-saleable condition will not be credited and will be disposed of.

Is there a charge for delivery?

YES. There is a nominal charge for deliveries made within a 20 mile radius of the store. Additional charges will be applied to deliveries outside of this radius and some products like masonry goods and oversized items will carry additional fees. These charges help offset the maintenance costs of our delivery equipment and still represent an excellent value of service to our customers!

If you are a Contractor Customer a fuel surcharge will be added per delivery or pickup. Please contact your Curtis Lumber salesperson for more information.

Can I get my delivery sent C.O.D. (cash on delivery)?

NO. Curtis Lumber refrains from honoring C.O.D. deliveries as they can become quite problematic and cause additional delays and expenses.
